Why recruiters in Malaysia look for a LinkedIn Recruiter alternative

LinkedIn sells two sourcing seats. Recruiter Lite is for people hiring a few roles a year, with more than 20 filters, 30 InMails a month and limited profile views across your first, second and third-degree network. Recruiter is for teams hiring more often, with more than 40 filters, up to 150 InMails a month per seat and unlimited views of all members. Both search LinkedIn’s own members, and you reach people by InMail.

The usual reasons to look elsewhere are:

  • Price. Lite’s public page shows only a free trial. When we signed in from Malaysia on 25 October 2026, it showed RM 718.29 a month, or RM 590.94 a month billed yearly. Recruiter is priced through LinkedIn’s sales team.
  • Limits on Lite. 30 InMails a month and limited profile views go quickly on a role with many candidates to look at.
  • AI search. LinkedIn’s AI-assisted search builds a search from a pasted job description, and its pages do not say whether Lite includes it. Hiring Assistant is an add-on to Recruiter only, in English and six European languages.
  • Contact details. LinkedIn gives InMail, and no email addresses or phone numbers.

Each alternative below replaces a different part of that: the search, the profiles, or the way you contact people.

1. Agentic Blue

Describe the role in your own words, or paste a job description, and Agentic Blue searches public LinkedIn profiles, with no LinkedIn login. Each candidate shows their work history and how they match your criteria. You save the right ones to a project and move them through your pipeline. Only your team moves candidates forward.

Compared with LinkedIn Recruiter: you describe the role and get a list where each person shows which of your requirements they meet, with no Recruiter seat and no InMail credits. It reads public profiles, so it sees what a person shows publicly, which is less than a Recruiter seat sees.

Pricing: a Free plan with 3 AI searches a month. Starter is US$49 (RM 199) per seat a month and Growth US$99 (RM 399) per seat a month, paid monthly.

Where it falls short: it gives no emails, phone numbers or InMail, so you contact people yourself, and it does not connect to an applicant tracking system.

2. Juicebox

Juicebox turns a plain-language description into filters, which decide who appears, and criteria, which rank them, and labels each person Good Match, Potential Fit or Not a Match. It says it has 800 million profiles from more than 30 data sources, and refers questions about particular countries to its sales team.

Compared with LinkedIn Recruiter: it searches an index gathered from many sources, and its paid plans give email addresses and phone numbers, with email sequences.

Pricing: a free plan with a few searches. Starter is US$99 a seat a month billed yearly, or US$119. Growth is US$179 billed yearly, or US$199.

3. Pin

Pin starts from one line or a job description, asks follow-up questions, and shows the criteria it built, which you can change by asking. It explains each match with yes or maybe answers, sends outreach from your own inbox and books interviews. It says it searches more than 850 million profiles, and its homepage names North America and Europe coverage.

Compared with LinkedIn Recruiter: it adds contact credits, outreach from your own inbox and scheduling. Its Chrome extension imports a LinkedIn profile you are viewing into a Pin job.

Pricing: a free plan with 3 searches a day and 5 contact credits a week. Solo is US$100 a user a month and Professional US$135, both billed yearly.

4. Jobstreet Talent Search

Talent Search searches Jobstreet’s own candidate database. You describe who you want in your own words, search by name or use Boolean. Premium adds filters for companies, role titles and salary expectations, an approachability signal, full profiles with CVs and direct contact details. Jobstreet says employers can reach more than 7 million candidates in Malaysia.

Compared with LinkedIn Recruiter: it searches different people, those with a Jobstreet profile, and it is the only tool here that states a Malaysian number. You can invite someone straight to apply to your Jobstreet ad.

Pricing: Basic is free, with a limited number of candidates each month. Premium is quoted by its sales team, and the pages show no ringgit prices.

5. SeekOut

SeekOut lets you describe the role in your own words and narrow it with more than 30 filters, and it gives the reasoning behind each match against your criteria. It says it searches over a billion profiles, including patents, GitHub and publications.

Compared with LinkedIn Recruiter: it gives 500 contact credits a month on its entry plan, and it searches sources beyond one network. It names no countries.

Pricing: Sourcing Core is US$149 a month billed yearly, or US$179 monthly, with a 14-day trial and no card.

6. hireEZ

hireEZ presents itself as EZ Agent, agents that run the hiring pipeline on top of your ATS while recruiters decide. You say the role and it sources, with the reasons behind each match, and it also screens and schedules. It says it covers more than a billion profiles across more than 45 platforms.

Compared with LinkedIn Recruiter: it is an alternative to a team’s set of Recruiter seats more than to one Lite seat, since most customers on its site are large enterprises.

Pricing: solo recruiters start at US$494 a month with a 7-day trial. Enterprise prices follow a four-week trial with your team.

7. Gem

Gem combines an ATS, a CRM and sourcing. Its AI Sourcing Agent builds a search from your own words, a job description or an ideal profile, and gives each person a match score with reasons. It says it covers more than 800 million profiles and finds verified email addresses.

Compared with LinkedIn Recruiter: it also searches your past candidates in your ATS and CRM, so people you have met before come up beside new ones.

Pricing: its main plans are priced by company headcount. Startups of up to 10 people start at US$130 a month billed yearly.

8. Findem

Findem builds a people graph from career histories, which it says maps more than a billion career paths, and its agents build a candidate pool with the evidence for each person’s fit. Findem Studio lets you run a ready-made agent or build your own.

Compared with LinkedIn Recruiter: it is sold to large teams through a demo, and its pages say little about how a search is typed in.

Pricing: not published.

When LinkedIn Recruiter is still the right choice

If you reach candidates by InMail, use signals only LinkedIn has, such as Open to Work and More likely to respond on Recruiter, or need every member’s full profile, none of the tools above replaces that. LinkedIn describes Lite as a simple sourcing tool for occasional hiring, and for a recruiter filling a few roles a year it may be enough. A team can also keep one LinkedIn seat for InMail and use a search tool for the volume of searching.

Some tools work beside LinkedIn instead of replacing it. Pin’s Chrome extension imports a LinkedIn profile you are viewing, and Manatal’s extension adds LinkedIn profiles to its applicant tracking system one at a time.

How to choose

Decide which part of LinkedIn you need to replace. If it is the search, a tool that ranks people against your requirements will do. If it is contacting people, you need email and phone credits or a tool that sends outreach. If it is the profiles themselves, only LinkedIn has all of them.

Compare the price per seat with what Lite showed you. In Malaysia, Lite showed RM 718.29 a month on 25 October 2026. Agentic Blue’s Starter is US$49 (RM 199) per seat a month, Juicebox’s Starter US$99 billed yearly or US$119, and Pin’s Solo US$100 billed yearly.

Run one real Malaysian role through two free plans. None of the tools built in the US publishes how many Malaysian profiles it holds, so count the people who fit before you pay. More tools, and how to keep a search from returning no one, are in the 10 best AI sourcing tools in Malaysia.
