Agentic Blue vs HireVue: which AI interviewer fits your hiring?

HireVue is one of the largest platforms in hiring technology, built for enterprise procurement. Agentic Blue does one thing, the first-round interview, for teams hiring at volume. Which fits depends far more on your organisation than on either product.

Where HireVue is the stronger choice

Breadth. Video interviews, live interviews, assessments and a candidate chat assistant in one platform. Agentic Blue does one of those things.

Enterprise requirements. Published security certifications and a long list of ATS integrations are what an enterprise security review asks for first. Agentic Blue publishes neither today.

Roles where speaking is the job. For a call centre or a sales team, a spoken or video format tells you something a text interview cannot.

Where Agentic Blue is the stronger choice

More candidates finish. A text interview needs a phone and a few minutes, can be closed and picked up again, and asks nobody to film themselves. For shift workers and volume roles, that decides how many applicants get screened at all.

You know the price. Agentic Blue publishes its prices in ringgit and charges for what you run: RM 3.10 a typed interview, RM 0.55 a minute for voice or video (about RM 5.50 for a 10-minute one), and the first 3 typed interviews each month free. Top up from RM 50.00; there is no seat fee and no subscription.

Evidence you can read. Every score comes with its reasoning and the full transcript, and Blue does not reject anyone. It is also never shown the role’s must-haves while interviewing, so it cannot steer the conversation toward them.

Set up in a sentence. A recruiter describes the role, and the JD Builder Agent writes the posting and the screening questions. Everything the first round covers, from the CV read to the ranked shortlist, is on Agentic Blue’s AI recruiter page.

How to decide

Start with the format your roles need, then the size of the process you can support. If you are unsure which format suits your candidates, read AI video interviews or chat interviews. For more options in Malaysia, see the 8 best AI interviewer tools in Malaysia.
