Agentic Blue vs NAX Ai Interviewer: text chat or voice on camera?

Both are built for Malaysian employers and both run the first round for you. NAX has candidates speak on camera under anti-cheating checks, and Blue has them type on a phone. That one choice decides most of the rest.

The short answer

Choose NAX if you want to hear candidates speak, including in a mix of Malay and English, want the session watched for signs of cheating, and want NAX to build the question bank and scoring rubric from your job description.

Choose Agentic Blue if you want a first round candidates can finish by typing on any phone, that asks every applicant about expected salary and notice period, and a price you can see before speaking to anyone.

Where NAX is the stronger choice

You hear the candidate. For a front desk, a call centre or a sales floor, a spoken answer shows how someone communicates in a way a typed one cannot, and NAX handles the Malay and English mix many Malaysian candidates actually speak.

It watches for cheating. Candidates can paste AI-written text into a typed interview. NAX logs tab switches, copy-paste and multiple faces, and ends the session after repeated flags.

Setup done for you, invites in bulk. NAX builds the question bank and rubric from your job description, sends single-use links from a CSV or an API, and can push results to your own systems as an add-on.

Where Agentic Blue is the stronger choice

Less asked of the candidate. The default typed interview needs no device check and no quiet room. A candidate between shifts can answer on a mid-range phone, stop, and carry on later from the same link, which decides how many applicants finish the first round at all.

The facts that decide a first round. Blue asks every applicant for expected salary, as basic pay plus fixed allowance, and for their notice period and availability. NAX leaves the salary conversation to your team.

You know the price. Agentic Blue publishes its prices in ringgit and charges for what you run: RM 3.10 a typed interview, RM 0.55 a minute for voice or video (about RM 5.50 for a 10-minute one), and the first 3 typed interviews each month free. Top up from RM 50.00; there is no seat fee and no subscription. There is no setup fee.

Evidence you can read quickly. Every score carries its reasoning and the full conversation in text, easy to search and forward. Blue is never shown the role’s must-haves while it interviews, so it cannot steer the conversation toward them.

More than the interview. Blue also reads each CV against the job and ranks the finished interviews into a shortlist. The whole first round is set out in what the AI recruiter covers.

How to decide

The deciding question is the format: whether your roles need you to hear candidates, or to reach as many of them as possible. The trade-offs are in AI video interviews or chat interviews. Both tools, and six others, are in the 8 best AI interviewer tools in Malaysia, and more options with published prices are in HireVue alternatives in Malaysia.
